“Must Love Dogs”

Saturday, September 17th, 2005

A romantic-comedy with a shallow story but still worth to watch for those who seeks fun and something lite. Starting with interviews on "How do you meet man/woman?

It’s about Sarah [Diane Lane], 40-sumthin and charming, a preeschool teacher and Jake [John Cusack], A boat designer. Both a divorcee,  who tries to look for a new love and perhaps a soulmate. Her family offers a lot of help in finding her a new man. Until her profile shows up in an online match-making website, with a "must love dogs" tagline. Then one day she borrowed his brother’s dog to meet this guy, Jake, at the dog park. And the story continues.. With a funny twist in the middle including an affair with her student’s father. Soooo funny and sometimes touchy.

I’ll give it a 6,5 out of 10. But I had fun watching it.

[Chicago Sun-Times,Robert Ebert
"The movie toys with heartbreak because it knows, we know, no hearts will be broken".

Talk About Tough

Saturday, September 17th, 2005

I met this cute and heart broken girl last nite..
she broke up with his dearest boyfriend for ages that afternoon for the reason I personally don’t understand but she took it well and calm.. I guess.
It amazed me how she handled it.. really! With a butt of cigarette in her right hand and a glass of coke in front of her, she told me how it happened in a very soft voice and no anger in sight.
She won’t think of him as an asshole! She won’t blame him for hurting him! She’s willing to wait until he’s ready to move on (and maybe she”ll move on)! She has a gold heart inside her.

I saw her as a tough one. Petite, cute and tough. Damn girl! where have you been? I need people like you to hit my back and  wake me up from misery after  bad relationship. I do , really!
Don’t mind the cigarette! Don’t mind that sad eyes! Don’t mind that can of beer! Don’t mind that soft voice! I still think of her as a damn tough girl. You go girl..!!! Someone said tou you that "There always be sunshine after the rain". He IS right..! No matter how long the rain pours down.

Poems: Saved From Myself [Jewel]

Friday, September 16th, 2005

"How Often I’ve cried out
in silent tongue
to be saved
from myself

in the middle of the night
too afraid
to move

horrified the answers
may be beyond the
capability of my
own two hands

so small

(no one should feel this alone)"

Note: I posted this poem because I feel that it represents me.. my fear.. my insecure
Jewel’s right.. No one should feel this alone! And sometimes, we DO want to be saved from          ourselves. Don’t try to deny it! Face it! We’re only human.. a unique portrait.

Buy "Night Without Armor" by Jewel. And you’ll feel in-touch with your inner-self.
I love that book so much I’ve read it over and over again and still can’t take my fingers off it pages.
Jewel is very talented.. You heard her voice.. You listened to every words she sang.. and now she’s trying to reach your heart with poems she wrote in that book. Enjoy!

Lyrics: Sleeps With Butterflies [Tori Amos]

Sleeps With Butterflies
[Tori Amos]

Airplanes
Atke you away again
Are you flying
Above where we live
Then I look up a glare in my eyes
Are you having regrets about last night
I’m not but I like rivers that rush in
So then I dove in
Is there trouble ahead
For you the acrobat
I won’t push you unless you have a net

[Chorus]
You say the words
You know I will find you
Or if you need sometimes I don’t mind
I don’t hold on to the tail of your kite
I’m not like the girls that you’ve known
But I believe I’m worth coming home to
Kiss away night this girl only sleeps with butterflies

Balloons
Look good from the ground
I fear with pins and needles aorund
We may fall then stumble
Upon a carousel
It could take as anywhere

[Chorus]

what IS sacrifice??

Thursday, September 15th, 2005

Gue kadang bertanya-tanya.. kenapa ya kalo orang tuh udah suka banget akan sesuatu apalagi kalo udah addicted, they’ll do anything. Sacrifices is an automatic thang. For instance, I’m a smoker.. [Oh God, please make me stop!!]. In certain days, there’s only a small amount of money in my pocket and I had to choose between meal or a pack of cigarettes, I probably ended up sitting somewhere with a pack of Marlboro lights and having a butt for lunch. Oh men, yes.. I’m a healthy freak!

But the strange thing is, when it comes to love or something that involves another human being, we tend to be selfish. Sacrifice? What sacrifice? We tend to look at "Sacrifice" as something that needs to be rewarded. I give something as a sacrifice, but wait! You’ll have to do me a big favor for it.

I’m confussed. Bukannya pengorbanan itu tanpa pamrih ya? You’ll just have to give it or do it sincerely? But I’m not sure myself. Because, it’s true, sometimes in order to get or achieve sumthin’ you have to sacrifice. So what does sacrifice means exactly? Can anybody help? Please!

Prambanan, WOW!

Thursday, September 15th, 2005

Hi People.. back again with this hungry soul.. hayah!

I went to Jogja last August. The main reasons was, beside looking for some new atmosphere, visiting our dearest friend, Nandi. How are ya buddy??

Anyway, We went sightseeing to Borobudur, Kraton and  Prambanan. Borobudur.. yeah, I’ve been there twice. Kraton.. yeah, been there twice too but can’t get enough of it. But Prambanan.. It was my first time. I’ve been dreaming about it since like forever. hehehe.. so I can say "Finally!!"
[kasian banget! Hari gini baru liat Prambanan?!]

It’s beautiful I’m telling you!!!
I sensed something extravagant.. Mystic.. Calming.. and yet enchanting. Magnificent.
Pas kita sampe disana, cuacanya enaak banget. Secara waktu di Borobudur mati maaak, panasnya gila banget! Mataharinya galak, not to mention gerahnya minta ampun. Gue rasanya pengen nangis tuh!!
Tapi pas di Prambanan, it was cloudy and breezy. The Sun was only peeking trough the white and puffy clouds. It’s nice. Jadi gue gak pengen nangis lagi. Jadi kegiatan foto2 gak terganggu. Hehehe..

Do you know? There’s a myth about Prambanan that has been goes around like forever. Katanya, it’s forbidden for a couple in love to visit Prambanan together. If they didn’t obey it, their relationship will end up in a dumpster. Percaya? terserah. Tapi gue kesana sama cowok gue and hopefully our relationship won’t end up in a dumpster. But curse will only happen when you truly believe in it, won’t it?
